6ped Henbit (Lamium amplexicaule) Young shoots and greens make good salad I urge that persons using these pictures not rely solely on one source of information in the identification of plants. I usually use three different reference sources, for safety's sake. Even then, mistakes are made (primarily clerical) which could be disastrous if you were to use only this source for identification. If you find any errors or can fill in the missing identifiers, please contribute. I will be happy to give you credit.
7ped Rough-stemmed Goldenrod (Solidago rugosa) All goldenrods make a good tea. They are not the culprits in allergies!

8ped Hawthorn (Crataegus......) Great for heart or vascular systems and also makes a good beverage in vodka or brandy. The stem has very long and tough spines that can cause blindness if struck in the eye.
9ped Common Cattail (Typha latifolia) Every part of this plant was highly esteemed and used by Native Americans for good reason. Deserves your research.
10ped Bunchberry, Dwarf Cornel (Cornus canadensis) Chew the berries while taking a walk in the woods. Very refreshing!
11ped Common Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) The whole plant is edible. Makes tea, wine, salads, coffee substitute, medicine.
