It's a sphinx moth over bergamot in the White Mountains of Arizona, elevation about 7500ft. I take pix and find out what the creatures are later. It looks like a hummingbird huh? Except it's body is bigger and it eats like a hummingbird."

Are you wondering what this cottonlike stuff is? I was very surprised to find out. It coated numerous alders along a lake and some trees looked like fresh snow had fallen on them. At first I thought it was a mold or disease. When I looked real close I saw motion in little parts of it. It turned out to be a wax on the bodies of aphids!
